E85 has 105 octane. From what I've read, it will give approx a 5% horsepower increase in a Ford vehicle.



I don't see the difference in my truck, but I've never expected it to be, or treated it like, a hot rod.

The only two in Florida are private fueling facilitys. There is no access for the general public.

Has anyone else noticed an dramatic increase in the price of E85? We were toying with the idea of using it a couple of months ago when it was $1.65 vs unleaded at $2.19 (made sense even with the mileage penalty) BUT when we checked the other day it had jumped to $2.65 while unleaded is $2.71. Is the ethanol market just out of control or is my ONE local dealer trying to pull a fast one?
