Lost my nut!

Heard this clanging noise going over bumps this morning and when I got to work and looked under the Trac I saw the end of the sway bar had come off. Guess it's my fault since I installed the EE Sway bar a couple of years ago. Now I guess I'm going to have to go to Ford to get the right nut unless someone here happens to know the size.

I'm sure someone will be able to tell you the size but definitely use some locktite on the bolts this time. Mine were loosening before I put it on.

Ha. Looked on the project site and found a project for the sway bar written up by Ron Brezina (rest his soul). He shows the tie rod ends being 18mm.

The head of the nut is 18mm but the threads are a different size....



Just remove the other side, IT is probably loose also and match one up at a store. THE re install with thread locker..

Can't you bring the other (don't get cute ) nut to the hardware store, match it to a bolt, then get a compression nut that size? Don't know just thinking.

A compression nut would be perfect. I will check that out.
