lost the blackberry.. getting a MOTO Q

anyone have the new Motorola Moto Q? I lost my Blackberry 7130 at a football game so I had it replaced with this. just wondering what peoples experiences with it mght be.

My friend just got the Q, he loves it, lots of features and not as fat as the blackberrry/other PDA phones. and it runs off of windows.

I looked at one to replace my Samsung Smartphone. The Verizon rep, a friend, told me that you will see a much slower experience (OS) than if you were to use a Blackberry or Treo 700w. Take it with a grain of salt, but definitely try it before buying it.

I can confirm that it is slower than the blackberry. I was setting one up for someone at the office. It is very thin and nice, with a great screen though. There are always tradeoffs but the person has been using it for over a month and loves it.

I heard something about a new software release from Motorola on their website that fixes speed, battery life and several other issues. If you get one just make sure you research for this possible update. It maybe different if you have Verizon service because they produce all their own proprietary software for the phones they sell. They do this so they can stick you with the charges for their VCast. I personally think this sucks as I am a Verizon customer. I would like to have my fancy phones come to me just the way the manufacturers intended them to be.
