tyler, every year everyone from the site tries to get together for a meet. Ford usually sponsors it. This year it was at Luisville where the ST is made.

Everything and seeing all our old and new friends. Also, seeing how much all the kids have grown since we first met them. I almost forgot....DRIVING Pat Freeman's '07, I still get goosebumps thinking about it. Pat, you where such a sweetheart:wub: for letting me drive your Trac!

Nothing, other than........

The continental breakfast SUCKED, compared to previous years at the same hotel. Saturday morning they had run out of almost everything.

Honestly...absolutely nothing!

I will try to, but with a pending lay-off, I might have a new job by then and I would have to deal with those attendance programs.

In my opinion, there should be no other place for the meet. Corvette owner go to the Bowling Green, KY plant where the corvettes are made (It is also across the street from the Corvette Museum) Having it in Texas proved that location is not what draws people to the meets, but the friendship that we all share.

5) What did you like?



Friendship with everyone. Theresa and I had a great time and loved to meet everybody.

Honestly, nothing.

Nothing really.

I am not organized enough enough to handle that task, though Theresa and I have no problems helping out.

1) How did you like this years meet? Georgia, Sydney and I had a great time meeting everyone that we could.

4) Would you attend a meet in 2 years if next year is skipped? I hope so, but I do think that 2 yrs is to long between National meets. If we go to a 2 yr. period between National meets Ford needs to help sponsor Regional Meets. Yes, I would help put on a West Coast Regional meet.

Note: I did find a strong implication on the part of Ford that we are being used as an advertising tool to push to '07 ST. I personally found that a bit unsettling. I feel that the whole purpose of the National meet is to further the enjoyment of the ST, and make new friends as well as enhance old friendships. That was accomplished very well this year.

I agree with you. Some food for thought though. We can't expect Ford to sponsor a meet without some type of "payment" from us. Driving down the highway with 40 Tracs makes a real statement and brings greater awareness to the Sport Trac. It gets the Sport Trac noticed.



I compare that to a guy I worked with. he was in the Air Force reserves and made a big deal of the retirement he will get for his active duty and his reserve duty. "One weekend a month and two weeks a year" he used to always say. Then he got the orders to go overseas. Saying he was angry would be an understatement. He felt like it was below him to go over to Afghanistan. I simply made a statement that made him mad, but he got the jist what I was saying. Simply put, the government give him a sweet deal with the reserves. Pay and retirement, but it is in exchange for your service in a time of need. If there was no chance they would ever need to go into a combat zone, there would be no need for the reserves. So it is a chance you take. Don't like it? Don't enlist. Don't expect the pay and retirement for free. Sometimes you need to earn it.



Ford needs all the exposure they can get. They spend a bunch of money for us at the meet.



I do know how you feel though. Sometimes we forget to scratch someones back after they scratched ours.

Definately! Louisville is the ideal place to hold it since that is the home of the ST

I can't say for sure with my unpredictable military job, but I would definately plan to attend if possible



5) What did you like?

I loved the plant tour, and the show and shine at Hubers, I was also happy that you were able to work in the Dyno Day!



6) What did you dislike?

As far as the meet, there wasn't anything that I truly disliked. It was a great occasion, and I hope to do it again for more years



7) What would you have changed?

I probably would've had the Ford dinner elsewhere (or at least tried to schedule it for a later time in the day) And they needed better directions to the parking garage. (I did NASCAR laps in downtown for a while )



8) Would you help organize the next meet?

I can't say for sure. I probably wouldn't be able to actually organize with the unpredictable schedule that I keep, as I wouldn't want to back out of a commitment, but I would be willing to lend a hand at the meet any way I can.

I liked meeting everyone, the show and shine was great, but the Plant Tour was the best part!

The hotel was nice, but way too close to the airport (noisy)
