I am 3 years and 3 oil changes into my Mobile 1 routine. I fill with M1 5w30 and change the FL820S at 5.000 miles and have to add a quart at that time. Drain and new filter at 10,000. I drive a lot less than I used to, about 8 months to get 5,000 miles / 100 miles a week. Completely superficial observation - I am amazed at how clear the M1 still is after over a year. It is not the really black stuff I used to get with Mobile Delvac 15w40 I had used for the first 35,000. Spare me the lecture on too heavy oil - I ran Delvac for 175,000 miles in a 1.9L ford escort with a Fram filter (5,000 intervals) that ran as well the day I sold it as it did when it was new. With 2 kids I just find it easier to have change the oil in a car every 6 - 8 months rather than one oil change every 3 - 4 months. I may be way off as I don't do oil analysis, but is sure do look good.
