Mixing different brands of MerconV fluid

I'm planning on dropping the pan to adjust the EPC and perhaps change the filter (and do the drain mod) but I had a question regarding fluid. Obviously I'll only be able to replace about 5qts of what's already in there. I'm just wondering if it's okay to mix different types of tranny fluids (as long as they're MerconV compatible, of course)? Don't know if I'll end up getting either Motorcraft, Royal Purple, or Amsoil.

No matter what you use will only get contaminated by the other fluid.

I would use the 4.5 qts of Motorcraft MercV, and then do a 100% flush with something else down the road if you like..

Bingo as always Todd, :lol:I actualy JUST did the same thing this weekend and ordered a full 12 qts of the synthetic Amsoil to do the flush with.
