My 82 year old mother had a heart attack Monday afternoon. I am just now getting home. I have been to many medical emergencies but it is different when it is someone you love. Mom is critical but survived the heart attack. I am hopeful.

Not really sure why I am dumping this on you, I guess because you are here. I need some rest. Thanks for listening.

Best of luck to your mom. There are a lot of new advancements in the treatment for MIs both during and after. I wish a speedy recovery for her.

gerry,

sorry to hear about your mom. with todays tech, you would be surprised at how much recovery is better.

our prayers are with your mom and you.

2001 at 43 years old i had one on new year eve in atlantic city. i now have a stent in my LAD that was 98% clogged with plaque.

both my brother and father passed away from heart attacks at the age of 46.

i encourage EVERYONE to be more heart aware. more so, if you have a family history.

keep your head up and be there for your mom.

Wishing best of luck to your mom and comfort to you both/all!

My next door neighbor had a heart attack about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Yesterday he was weed eating his yard, and it's in the mid to upper 90's out there! Amazing what they can do nowadays!

Best wishes for your mother's recovery. Both of you take care.

Gerry, my prayers are with you and your mom.

I can relate to the sadness of this at this time. We burried my 84yr old father today..

Thank you so very much to all of you. She is scheduled for an emergency triple bypass. I pride myself at being a rock and handling everything that gets tossed at me, but frankly I am scared .................very scared. That is not easy for me to admit.

Gerry

Again Thanks

Gerry, I myself think Im a rock. Truth be known. We are always our parents children. Especialy when it is our mother. Peace be with you brother...
