Just bought a bed extender for my 01. Along with it the seller included several new bushings (yl3z-84286a54-aa) and two pivot pins (w707381-s900). When I look at mounting it I see the three holes in both sides of the bed. The new bushings look like what it already in the top and bottom holes. I'm assuming the pivot pins fit in the middle holes on both sides. Problem is that the pivot pins are threaded but the holes have no threads. Can someone tell me if I'm missing another part or what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

Make sure you put them in STRAIGHT. Start them in and then back them off a 1/4 turn. This will break the thread you started to cut. Then thread it in 3/4 to a full turn, then back it off 1/4 turn etc etc etc.

They go in fairly hard so don't let that scare you.
