Just read where the new Mustang will be representing Ford at the Nationwide Subway Jalapeno 250 this Friday night. I have always felt, since the T-bird left NASCAR that the Mustang should have been the one to step up and take its place.

Makes me want to go out and buy some Mustang decals for the trac... NASCAR sux.. sillouette cars sux...

off the soapbox... :soap:

cars that are supposed to look like a certain car, but have nothing in common with them... all NASCAR cars are identical... they change the stickers. Same sheetmetal, motors, rearend, etc... To boot, they are RWD while the production versions are FWD...

That's why Ford wanted to run the Mustang. They got NASCAR to let them have more brand identity. Dodge is running the Challenger, as well. Hopefully, this will eventually make the transition to the Sprint series.
