CONGRATS and GOOD luck with it...

Gary S - thanks for your business! Love the 350Zs! I sponsor two of them. One for Grand Am Cup and SCCA Racing. One of our buddies has a twin turbo 350Z Carbon Fiber hood and fenders. 550 HP to the wheels on a race suspension, Penske. I'm actually bringing that car to the Pacific Nissan car show end of the month.

Hey, Blert, you just reminded me of something. I was in one of the new Altima's the other day. It does have the CVT, but I noticed it also has the autostick feature. Anybody have an idea of how that works?

Rocks

The CVT also comes in a "six speed manual mode" version. Don't know how it works though.

It's shifting for newbies. You can only shift up/down, and you can't over-rev the engine or shift into the wrong gear. My mom's '04 Maxima has the same kind of thing and it's quite fun.

SST,

Never driven an M3 with that dang SMG transmission? It feels like a retarded monkey is working the pedals and shifter, it is horrible. I've not driven the newer versions of it, but from what I read and hear, the 'autostick' and SMG of BMW's still suck.

Tiger - turn off traction control turn on the Sport Mode and that annoying issue goes away. We figured that out the hard way. Most people that experience it baby the car when driving. The car is not meant to be driven like a puss*...LOL

Where SMG really performs is on the track. Down shifting blips the gas pedal even when your braking. Emulates heel/toe.

BTW...the stick does it too when traction control is on I've experienced it on the Dinan M3 Supercharged car.
