In the "Off Topic" board some latitude should be allowed. It seems there are only a few members that do this and in many cases this is only after the initial response level has escalated. One member in particular can't seem to string more than five or six words together without "name calling." He would not be missed.

There seem to be regulars in these types of exchanges. Some are political and some appear to have the "mine is bigger/better" viewpoints. Off topics will always have some opposing exchanges, however, there are some who only seem to appear on this site for the off-topic posts. Others appear to never post anything about Sport Tracs.... which is strange. I have been aggravated by some off topics and have had statements ready to post but after re-reading or re-thinking them, I just moved on after deleting the statements. Maybe more should do the same...or maybe this is their only world to "float their own boat" in??

I can speak for myself.



I try to refrain from name calling, but some members here just have nothing constructive to add to a thread. usually it is some snide remark agaist something I said. I said it because I read it from a link some other member posts, but they fail to actually read anything and want to challange me.



I have asked certain members to contact me via email to inquire my "qualifications" to make certain statements, but they refuse to do so and will continue to ask me the same questions. If you really want to know, email me.



Another member here blames me for getting banned years back when I do not recall ever doing anything to cause it. I have invited this person to contact me, again via email, to explain what happened back then but this person has yet to do so.



If you are going to challange me, I feel you need to step up. If you accuse me of something, please tell me what I did. If I am unwilling (unable) to say something in a public forum, please contact me if you are truly interested. If you don't contact me, I assume you are just causing trouble.



I speak with honesty and integrity, but I do sometimes make up some story like using items with a lifetime warranty until I sell the car and then return it. Of course, then I am called a liar and all kinds of names.



I try to trust all members here to speak from experience with honesty and integrity. Unfortunatly, when certain members only cause trouble, they are doing nothing productive for this website.

I just knew this was going to happen to this post.



Notice how someone jumps in to defend them self. That assumes they just 'know' you must have been talking about them. And then someone else jumps in and throws in a comment to keep the pot boiling.



I sure get tired of these pi$$ing contests. After a few rounds, I get tired of reading all the ranting and posturing and finally just stop following the thread. I think you are right about one thing. It definitely IS a form or cyber-bullying. I am too old to bother with that dribble.



I wonder if there was a way for the administrator to ban the 'perps' from the off-topic board only.

Often, when they are actually discussing something pertinent to the Trac, they are quite knowledgeable about whatever subject is being talked about. They just seem to be too easily offended about something (usually minor) and start the contest and then is escalates.



And there are a few who seem to just relish tweaking some of the others.



That's my two cents and I wont be spending any more.

Why not set up another board topic where we could all post pictures of our organs next to a tape measure? Then everyone would easily know who has the biggest one, and we wouldn't have to argue about it.
