Sorry you can't make it, but we can't assume there'll even be a next year. As Spaceman Spiff has pointed out before, this will probably be Rich's last year to organize a National Meet. Unless someone else steps up to the plate, this could be the last one.

Todd, I will pretty much guarentee you that this will not be the last one. Ford has now stepped up & has put more behind MYST.com. Example; last yr. in Louiville the design engineers were asking us questions & taking notes, so . . .

Rodger, ford has done that each year. What ford has done this year, probably won't be repeated. I'm not "in the know" just that ford tends to be difficult when it comes to setting these things up and supporting us. This year I believe is an exception to the rule because of the new trac coming next year, so this benefits us both(Ford and MyST.com). Back at the ATL meet, it was being discussed whether to do L'ville or Dallas. We chose dallas despite the fact that ford gave almost no details as to why, and barely gave a date. By reading the board you see how long it took to get the Dallas details up and straightened out. Rest assured without the members of the group that live near Dallas doing some legwork, we may not be in the current position we are currently in as far as the meet, hotel, maps and other details. Not to mention the current issues with Katrina and now Rita potentially causing some serious problems. There may very well be a next year, but no one that wants to attend should ever approach it from this perspective. Yes, some of us can't attend and admittedly with the last minute venue change, I'm sure it hurt many members plans to go to L'ville.



I just don't think anyone should anticipate a meet on a national level as it takes alot of work, and I'm not sure exactly how many people would be willing to dedicate the effort Rich puts forth for what amounts to a "hobby" (for lack of a better word) for most.
