I need a portion of a floorplan in a PDF to be modified, but my photoshop skills are limited. If you're a wiz, can you please e-mail me and I'll send you the file with what needs to be done? I really just need to make it transparent, so that I can place it on top of another photo. Not too hard huh? I'm a dork though.

Thanks!!

Easy, Open the file in photoshop.

double click on it in the layerspallette to make sure its not locked or a background.

Use your magic wand tool (or press w) then select a white part of the floorplan.

then goto the select tab and then similar. that should select anything that is white.

then hit the backspace button or delete.

HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS...:D

In my version of PS, PS CS (8.0), when you open a PDF file, the background is already transparent.

However, if it opens with a background, follow the above advice; additionally, if you need the file to remain transparent outside of Photoshop, you must save the file as a GIF.
