My fiancee splashed soda from the cupholder over the AC unit on my '07. I promptly cleaned it up, but today I noticed a couple of the buttons are "sticking" when pressed. What's the best way to clean them up? Qtips and rubbing alcohol? suggestions?

Spray a little bit of Windex around the edge of the button, then work the button a few times and wipe it up with a paper towel. I'd be hesitant to use anything much stronger. Alcohol can change the appearance of many of the plastics they use in cars now, it will often dull the finish if you wipe it.

A friend accidentally dumped her coke into the keyboard of her computer, and asked me how she could clean it since the keys were sticking. I suggested acetone, which cleans and then evaporates. She said ok, and promptly dumped in a whole bottle of fingernail polish remover! I was thinking brake parts cleaner. Anyway, she got mad because her keys stopped sticking but didn't work anymore! After it dried up, though, it worked just fine.

Although I'm not suggesting the same thing here! I would probably try an electronic parts cleaner.

Radio Shack has a spray bottle of electronic connections cleaner. Spray it with that and use an old toothbrush to clean around the buttons...
