need help: EPC and Idle

Hi guys I could use some help please. I just did a EPC adj took it for a ride 3rd and 4th gear shift really hard almost jolts the truck. Is it supposed to do that?:unsure: or is it adj too much, went 1/4 turn (have an 05 truck). Please don't tell me I am going to have to back it off.

Also did a plug change and fuel filter and cleaned air cleaner. checked all vaccum hoses and all on. Now it idles high use to idle anround 6 now almost double. Tried taking the battery cable off to reset didn't work. Can't adj idle factory set screw won't move. Any feed back would be appreciated thanks

Check to see if you broke or loosened a vacuum line....

If the computer cant adjust the idle something is broken or cracked.



As far as the EPC goes, It should settle down, and Now it will take longer since you disconnected the battery, the tranny has to relearn how you drive and correct it self..



1/4 turn is only a couple of psi, IT will not change it that drastically..
