Need Help Honda Part#?

I am trying to help out a friend purchase a new drive shaft. We have already purchased one that turned out to be wrong, this is very frustrating. I know some of you guys are experts at this stuff. I would like to purchase from RockAuto unless you guys know of a much better price. Here is what we need.



1987 Honda Civic 1.5L Sedan Front Wheel Drive

Passenger side drive shaft assembly





We did purchase part# HO 8010 but it wont fit.

Is it an all wheel drive car? Why doesn't it fit?

The shaft/splines are too big or too many splines. It is front wheel drive 2 wheel drive.

I suspect that you may have ordered the axle for the wrong transmission. I'm pretty sure that the axles on a Standard shift are different from the Automatics. You may have order the correct part, but received the wrong part? Kind of hard to tell from here?
