need info on inspection laws etc.

Interested in Oregon (Medford) California (Redding) and Arizona (?)

Do these states have vehicle inspection laws? On registration or yearly? What does it cover? What about window tinting--Strict?

What about vehicle modifications, Think my ST would make it? ( I would think so but some states are real picky)

I've asked before but if anyone else knows these areas & can share info it would be great.

I.E. Housing, recreation, shopping, weather, scenery, pros & cons etc.

I know California was very strict when I lived there.

In CA, yearly smog inspection after the vehicle is 4yrs old. No prob with window tinting unless the cop didn't get any the night before and he stops you for something else, like speeding. Yearly license renewal fee, I've seen a lot of big wheeled truck on the freeways/avenues, no prob.



Housing (San Francisco bay area) be ready to pay with an arm, a leg and 1 eye for a decent place.

Nice little calm suburban cities, nice weather, not so great shopping, great scenery...

Actually, I believe in CA it is every OTHER year after the first 4 do you need to get the inspection and it is only a SMOG inspection.

Arizona does not have a tint law. At least, not when I lived there.



I now live in Utah, only 4 of 28 counties have emission laws. Safety inspection required every 2 years for all counties. Registration annually. Tint laws exist, but I have had "illegal" tint on a car for over 5 years and nothing has ever been said.
