So i noticed this afternoon that as I accelerate I hear a squeek, squeek, squeek that speeds up as I accelerate from the rear area of my trac. It first stopped as i got to about 20mph but just driving home from my brothers (about 30 min) it is starting to last longer as I speed up.

My fiance's dad says he thinks it is a U-joint and said something bout it being a drive shaft U-Joint going bad? Or that it might be the differential u-joint?

So my questions is does that sound right to you guys? And if so what will it cost to get it fixed? (i'm not that mechanically talented nor have a garage of tools to work with).

Thank you guys in advance!!

Check that your parking brake is not on.....

It can be a ujoint or something in the brakes..

Yea that is the first thing I checked is the parking brake and it wasnt on. if it is the u-joint would it be expensive or how much am I looking?

The part is not expensive, $30.00,,,,,,

Then add 1 hour labor..

Its an 03 I think it has 4 wheel disc brakes so I dont think there is a brake drum and it does it when I accelerate not when I brake either...

Kane, Even though you have disc brakes on all four corners, you do have brake drums. The emergency brakes are shoe brakes with drums on your rear disc rotors.
