need to find a 12 volt hot wire in or near the high series center console

I am wanting to add a switchable 12 volt powered LED light inside my high center console. I have the LEDs and the switch and want to tap into a "hot" wire close to the console so it will run off of the Trac's battery. Any help would be appreciated!

Use the power-point outlet on the passenger side of the console.

It would be easier to add one of those, stickon, tap on, tap off Leds'. They use 3 AAA batteries. Have 3 to 4 led lights. The batteries last forever.

About 1/2" thick and 2 1/2" diameter.

You can even find them at 99cent stores.

thought so but was worried if that was used I would get a spike and blow the leds. I 'll put in line fuse and proceed.

Eddie, thanks for the suggestion but I already have the parts to do it the other way.
