New Bacteria Eats Garbage, Craps Out Oil

Just read this earlier over on Fox News. They've genetically engineered bacteria that eats garbage and excretes petroleum. The only problem right now, is they would need a lab the size of Chicago just to make a small amount of oil. They are supposedly working on getting it to work more efficiently.

Neat idea, but if we are to believe the tree-huggers, burning petroleum is killing our planet, so maybe it is good if this experiment doesn't work, so we can wean ourselves off of oil an move on to some other source of energy.
