I live in Alberta Canada. I need a winter grill to keep the freezing cold air out.... It only goes on in the winter time.

I think I may have you beat Big D. I live in Calgary, AB. Where are you? Once I figure out how to post pics I will post some of mine

Here's a list tho of what I have done:

2001 ST 4x4 Estate Green

K&N FIPK Kit

Flowmaster Exhaust

Axis Regulator Rims with Beadlock and 31 x 10.5 r 15 BF All Terrain T/A KO's

2" TT/Shackle lift

Safari Light bar - Modified and fitted with 4 - 6" Off Road lights (thats right 4!!!)

MacCollugh HID lights (the real ones with ballasts)

Alpine CDA-7897 Head Unit

MB Quart 6" components in all 4 doors

MTX MXA 6004 and 8001 power amplifiers

2 - JL Audio 8W3 drivers in a custom ported enclosure behind rear seats. all vinyled and color matched to the interior

Alpine 6" lcd screen in passenger visor

6.5" pioneer over head lcd screen for rear passengers

Sony PS2 custom mounted under glove box

Viper 791XV alarm/starter combo 2-way paging system

and much much more.. cool thing about my truck is that you wouldn't think it had all that stuff... everything is hidden and clean.

If you want any help and you're in or near Calgary we should share ideas! I used to be a mobile electronics installer and am good at mech wrenching!

Before I have to vote on the "Nicest ST in Alberta"......I need to know if Big D has already put up this years christmas lights or are they still up from last year???? This would give me a little more insight into how your "spare" time is spent.

Good looking truck......best one I've seen from alberta, today !!

Big D, looks real good! Those wheels and tires look like just what you need for the winters up there. Good idea on the grille cover for the winter, make it yourself? Gary D. in CT

Adam,

post some pics b/c I need some ideas for my two jl 8's. How do they sound? Also, I would like to see how you mounted the ps2.

Jason

I will take some pics after work today and post them.

My 2 JL 8's rock.. its retarded how loud they are for 8's. Remember I used to be an installer so I've heard a lot of loud systems. My friend who has 2 -12's in his civic come close to my 2 - 8's. the thing with my system is that it is tuned for sound quality, but when i want to rip it the bass is ridiculous. I custom made the box from half mdf and half fiberglass, the displacement is also spec'd to the drivers and they are in a ported box. Good thing about that is that since 8's have a fast response they don't sound sloppy, and with a properly built box and tuned port its better than a sealed enclosure.... deeper response due to custom tuning of the box, way more output and a more natural bass sound on acoustic or live music.

Adam,

I can;t wait to see your pics. I have dual flowmasters going in b4 the end of the month and monroe reflex's going in tomorrow. Then after that its off to the electronics. I have already purchased a Tranny temp gauge, and air fuel gauge and a dual pod holder for the 2, then off to the stereo.... So you build boxes eh? <--- Canadian I know. Feel like helping m,e out with a custom job for 2 10"s behind the back seat? I live in St. Albert (beside Edmonton). I am also hoping to get the top of the line compustar installed b4 the real cold hits.

Hey Dallas,

2 - 10's in a custom enclosure would be tight for sure! What kind of 10's are they?

Monroe Reflex's eh? thats cool... I am in the process of researching new shocks for my truck too... I am trying to decide between either Rancho or Monroe. What made you decide to go Monroe? If you don't mind, how much did you pay and where did you get yours from?

Adam, nice trac! I still have the FASTEST trac in all of...well...uh...southeastern missouri! Wanna race for fastest in north america? hehe

By the way, you add a supercharger to that and it'll truly be a MONSTER! ;)

Adam,

I got the monroe reflex cause they were the best shocks I knew I could get other than the RS9000 ranchos (that i knew of). Plus during the month of october monroe had a buy 3 get the 4th free promotion. And I paid 90.00 CAD per shock (probably could have shopped around for a better price). Apparently they are the equivalent to the Ranch RSX's. Now I just have to get the sway bar.

Dallas

If i could get some recent pics of mine i would post em. But im gonna disagree with ya Big D.

Those rims are nice but a lil too much for the ST. And the grill is ehh...I like the the lift tho....

Again the grill is for function, if you live in warmer climates than you dont need it. I actually have a billet one to install in the spring but i'll still be installed this one every year. I bought the winter grill cover from ebay from a company called cloud-rider. It keeps -40 degree weather from blowing on my engine going down the highway in the winter and allows my engine to warm up faster.

And Im sorry but in my defence about some of my mods, I find it boring to look like everyone else, or to look stock. I want someone to see my trac, take notice, then if they see it a month later to go "hey, thats that sweet trac I saw a month ago" not "look at that trac that looks like everyone elses".

I think you've accomplished that. It looks great. Nice job. :)

Now all you need is a supercharger. hehe
