I think it might... yeah it looks like a '99, '00 or something like that...

i was kicking myself in the a$$ after i bought mine brand new and saw that one... my truck is white 2, so that red accent would've been nice on it...

Shocks made a huge improvement to my SportTrac. I didn't really believe it until I did it.

ProComp ES900s for $126 from Summit Racing. Look like good, well-built shocks with lifetime warranty. Hardware not always included, but you can easily reuse the old or buy new grade 8 bolts at local hardware store for < $5. Best $126 I have spent recently!

I am inclined to get the swaybar too, when finances permit. I have lots of other needs around my house... :(

I put an EE sway bar on and was really impressed with the difference in side-to-side handling, i.e. when changing lanes, etc. I honestly felt the vehicle was unsafe prior to this modification. I had to swerve at highway speed the other night to avoid a large box that flew out of a truck in front of me. I actually fishtailed and screeched the tires, then corrected, but I am convinced that I would have rolled with the stock swaybar. I now plan to add some shocks. Good luck, the install on the sway bar was a breeze. BTW, rotating the tires did more than I would have imagined for handling!

I put new shocks on after 85,000 miles, and I can't say that I am wow'd by them. I have Monroe's and I did it because

1) the guy at Belle Tire said that may be the reason for my tire cupping issue,

2) a squeak in the rear end, traced back to the shock

3) I've nearly meed myself too many times on the expressway coming over a bump, on a turn, doing 70mph. The whole truck bounces around. It's scary as hell.

4) so many members here say that the factory ones suck,

5) Where my driveway meets the road, there is what seems like an 8" height difference, across 6" of angled curb. I have to turn into it, so it twists my ST pretty good. I'm certain that 2 years of this has put some wear on things.

SO, since having the new shocks installed...

1) I can't tell if the cupping is still an issue. Once a tire is cupped, it doesn't fix itself.

2) No more squeak.

3) It just happened again, so new shocks alone didn't fix that. I wonder if adding the sway bar would?
