once again, an early departure for my new jersey nets from the nba play-offs. down by 21 points the nets comeback within 1 point and then fall asleep, and let the cavs take the game. no excuses for the big 3 ( kidd, carter, jefferson ) of the nets to let this one get away. missed free throws and poor shooting down the stretch is unacceptable from the " money players ".

well you know the saying, wait to next year. i am curious as to who is going to be around next year for the nets !

j. kidd, whatever happens, thanks for bringing this team back, you are still one of the best to ever play the game !!!!!!!

all said and done, i we always be a nets fan !

You did not really think New Jersey had a chance against Lebron James and Company did you?

I live close to Lebron and I know where he lives.

Yeh, with 3 future Hall of Famers on the roster you think they could get it done. But only one team gets to be champion, for everyone else there is disappointment. At least you are in a town that has had some success in pro sports, look at the Devils, three championships in what? ten years?

Yeah another disapointing year. Don't worry Lamebron and company won't get past the

Pistons.

Oh yeah, Well I live close to Todd Z and I know where he lives.:p:p:lol::lol:

Just a little humor!

you are correct, only one team wins and i am very disappointed !

i don't live in jersey, i live on eastern long isle, but have been a net fan since they played in new york in the aba.

So you are saying the "better" team lost to a team that was not as good?

I mean, I could see one game. Everyone has a bad day. The Nets had 4 bad games.

I do not follow Basketball, but I would like to see a local team make it and anytime a local team can beat a NY/NJ team, I am happy.

I do know Lebron drives a black Hummer and a customized classic Impala that is sweet.

tom,

maybe i am missing something, or you are missing something, but i NEVER said the nets were a better team. you mention that you do not follow basketbal and YOU ask me if i thought that the nets had a chance to beat the cavs. YES, i think if you ask anyone knowledgible about the game, they would agree it would be a great series and that it could go either way. you also mention that you are happy if a local team beats a ny/nj team. well that is great that you show support for home town team. just so you know, i was rooting for the boston red sox when they beat the ny yankees in play-off series. i cheer every team that plays the ny rangers. i want the ny knicks to lose evey game, BUT i respect every fan of those teams. you could not give a crap about who wins ( you probably would have not known ), but i believe you have other issue's.

and yes, i am very disappointed that the nj nets lost.

The way I look at it, whomever wins is the better team and the better team should win. If the Pistons beat the Cavs, I could care less.

I have a neighbor that is into Football. She is a big fan of the Browns. I try to explain to her that if the Browns play bad and lose, you should be mad at the Browns for playing like a bunch of Pee Wee Football kids. If they played hard and lost due to some bad calls or just dumb luck, you have a right to be upset.

I personally do not like any NY/NJ teams. NY Yankees...Boooo. NY Knicks....Boooo. NJ Nets....etc. Etc. I just do not like NY/NJ teams.

I hope to see Cleveland win the championship. I would love to see the Indians win the world series. I know I also will never see the Browns win anything impressive.

As for your comment about me having issues, you seriously need to look in the mirror.

Anyone that makes a comment like...

the nets have the talent and experience !

they should have won , but as i said they gave it away by not follwing thru.

And then pretends you never said anything like that is in denial and needs serious help.

They have talent and Experience. Ok...great. They should not have won because they did not score more points than the Cavs did.

Remember, the game is about two teams playing by the same rules on the same level playing field. The team that scores the most points is deemed the winner of that game.

If you play by the same rules and do not score as many points as the other team, you are not the winner.

The Nets were unable to score more points in 4 out of 6 games. That means the Nets did not play as well as the Cavs did and therefore did not deserve to win. The playing field was level so experience and talent did not overcome the fact that the Cavs scored more than the Nets did.

Because of that, the Cavs are a better team than the Nets are.

As long as the Pistons are unable to score as many points as the Cavs do and as long as the playing field remains level, the Cavs will be the better team. If the Cavs do not score as many points as the Pistons do and the playing field remains level, then the Pistons are a better team than the Cavs are.

If the refs give one team an unfair advantage over the other, even if it works out in my teams advantage, I disagree with it and will not be happy with the results.

That is the way things should be.
