Not homeless anymore

We signed the lease today on our new place so we aren't homeless anymore. We are still living out of a hotel since our stuff won't be delivered until monday, but it's still a good feeling to have a place to live.



It will still be a few weeks before we are settled in since we are going back to MI for a few weeks before my wife checks in to work.



New place is a nice newer townhouse (2008) in a gated community in Oxnard.. Makes me feel a little yuppy, but it's still under our housing allowance from the Navy so we must not have gone too yuppy. 3 story, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath with a "bonus" room and 2 car garage, the community has a pool and playground so I can not go crazy with hyper kids in the house.

Hey Jacob, glad you made it down safely. Congrats on the new place, it sounds nice.

We hope Mary Lou's job transition goes well and you settle in just fine!

I'm sure you'll get plenty of use out of the pool.

Now you have to go to Angelos Pizza near Ventura Road and Channel Islands Blvd,

If I remember correctly...Fantastic Pizza when I grew up there....30 years ago....

Hope it's still there, it was a family owned place....

Bud there is a Papa Johns there but I'm not seeing anything else..



Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Household good and internet come Monday. Pretty excited to sleep in my own bed for a night before we head to MI.
