Hey, thought I would take a little poll to see if I am the only one on the planet that figures the older style ST is much more sexier than the new style!

What do you people think? Im mainly speaking about appearance.

I do however like that its wider, and nicer interior, but other than that, id keep mine and fix it up any day! (Which is what im doing)

I'm keeping my '03 and together we're in it for the long haul....

I still have a lot of life left in my '03 and plan to keep it. I am constantly doing projects on my truck, thanks to this site and enjoy doing it. The new ones are nice. Yes, the wider look and feel is cool, along with the floor shifter and rear storage. Not too happy about the interior dood handles, which are the same as the regular Explorer and have heard many complaints about them. But, by the amount of miles I do, I am looking forward to maybe my new '09, maybe '10 Sport Trac.

I plan on paying my 04 off and driving it for as long as possible... I'm not even thinking about the 07, or else I'll get the "itch," and that's not good... I need to be more content!

I'm keeping my '02, no plans for the near future, when time comes, I'll check all the options, that includes non-ford, except the fugly ridgeline...

I saw the '07 at the L.A. Auto show this weekend. I really liked the changes on the outside but was disappointed with the interior (sat in '07 Explorer which is supposed to be the same as the inside of the '07 ST). The handle to close the door is really low and caused your hand to be crushed between the door and your leg when you close the door.

Hello to all! I will keep my 01 ST until forever passes. I wanted this truck so much, even when it was just another "concept" back in '99 as the then "Adrenalin" concept (yes it was called that- even then!). While the new 07' looks cool, I still like the more aggressive look of the original 01'. BTW, it appears to look a little like a Nissan truck, and I'm okay with that, but Ford should have kept their "look" a lot more when they re-designed it! I will, however, go for the ST Adrenalin if they do it just as it was shown last year at the various shows around the country. On other posts I have said that if you look closer, you will see a lot of the same looks peeking out from the new 07' ST as you saw in the conceptual model. The upper body of the 07' has the same lines as the concept, then it sort of breaks off below the beltline, which only looks as if they used more "groun effects" type moulding to get that "drop" effect. What happens after a concept is shown, is that gives your competion a leg up on their next year's model that is in that particular class. (i.e) the Mitsu Raider and the new Nissan truck, the Frontier. Oh well, I digress, I'm tired of Ford teasing us with good stuff and then flipping us off with something totally dysfunctional in style and substance, 'cept for the new Fusion- but I am not a car guy anymore! LOL to all Trac'ers!

I looked at it at the LA show last week and was a little disappointed. In person, I still don't care for all the chrome on the grill. The storage in the bed is nice but the location of it makes it difficult to access (The same compartment on the Ridgeline was (IMHO) much better implemented).

And of course, the lack of an opening read window is a deal killer for me personally.

If you happened to notice, what did you think of that Chevy (I think) concept truck that had side opening access to the pickup bed?

This one? :D

I just paid off my '01, so I'll be keeping it for a few years more. I'm not too thrilled with the look of the '07, nor the fact that it has IRS. No opening rear window is the clincher... I'll wait until my rig HAS to be replaced, and see what's out there then.

I love my trac and will probably drive it until the wheels fall off, i figure that will give me enough time to wait until ford works the bugs out of the new one.

THIS '01 WILL STAY IN MY GARAGE FOR A LONG TIME TO COME...THE OPENING REAR WINDOW HAS SAVED MY BUTT MANY TIMES....'07=NO OPENING REAR WINDOW= I'LL STAY WITH WHAT I HAVE.

I'm intrigued with the v8 option.

No matter how many hundreds and hundreds of silly dollars you throw at the tee-inie 6 we have now in the form of hand flashes, cpu's, etc, it sounds, runs, and sadly performs like the tiny 6 it is.

Now I'm presently happy with the underpowered engine in a heavy slug of a truck, but if Ford comes out with some sick SVT version ST, I might take one in black.

We are disappointed in the 07, no rear window, no 07 for us. We have a 02 Red and and 03 Zinc yellow and had thoughts of replacing the 02 with an 07 in red of course. But this has changed our minds. I would hate to tell you all the times the opening of that window has come in handy, everything from hauling ski equipment up from the dock to hauling 2x4's out the window. Come on Ford we are disappointed.
