Offroading around DC

Can anyone recomend a place to go offroading round Washington DC. I live in Virginia, so anywhere in Virginia would also work.

There is a thread here about a wheeling event in VA, but I don't know where these places are myself.

I heard there is a great big field at 1600 Pennsylvania Blvd. It might be worth checking out.

oh, and when I say place, I mean a place where its legal to offroad, not some random feild on the side of the road, lol. No offense Nelson.

In West Virgina at Summit Point Raceway there is a company that does vehicle based training and one of there courses is an off road course. (Its under anti-terrorist driver training). I did an accident avoidance course with them and it had saved me from a nasty wreak on a few occasions. They are a little pricey but they are tons of fun and worth it in my opinion.



Also it is about 70 miles from DC (according to their website)
