I got an oil change on my st and the display still says oil change required, how do I reset it???? I took it back to the oil change place and they couldn't figure it out either!

Look in the owners manual. It will tell you how. You have to reset it in your system monitoring on the dash. It can be alittle fickle but not hard to do. My wife's Mountaineer will only reset when the motor is running.

Ok, let me see if I can give you some steps. (hope I can get it right, since I am nowhere neer my wife's Mountaineer) You need to use the "system check" button on the right side of the instrument cluster. Push it till it says "reset oil life" (or similar) and then press and hold the reset button. I usually hold it till the screen goes back to it's normal reading. (odometer and such) Like I said, I usually have the engine running when I do this and it has taken me, on occasion, a couple of times to get it to do it. I hope this helps since like I said, I'm going from memory and not able to walk myself through it as I'm explaining.;)

Oh, and trust me, it should be in the owner's manual, it's only a few sentences long.

Copied from an 07 owners manual

To reset the oil monitoring system to 100% after each oil change

[approximately 5,000 miles (8,000 km) or 180 days] perform the

following:

1. Enter SYSTEM CHECK to display

“OIL XXX% OIL LIFE OK”.

2. Press RESET control to display

“HOLD RESET IF NEW OIL”.

3. Press and hold the RESET

control for more than 2 seconds. Oil

life is set to 100% and “OIL

CHANGE SET TO 100%” is

displayed.

Note: To change oil life 100% miles

value from 5,000 miles (8,000 km)

or 180 days to another value, refer

to the Oil Life Start Value selected from the SETUP MENU in this

section.

Thanks Todd. That is alittle different than my wife's Mounty. I can get it to reset to 100% life but the stupid "riminder" chime still goes off unless I do it the way I said. (it resets both the life reading and the warning);)
