OIL RESIDUE ON MUD FLAP

I recently was installing my PIAA's, and while I was sprawled under my ST, I noticed a small amount of oil on the mud flap that sits directly below the radiator. To be more specific, it was on the facia that I had to remove when I was installing my WAAG sportster. It was getting dark, and I didn't have the time to investigate further. Some ideas on where this oil could be coming from would be appreciated.

Power steering, motor seal, or the transmission cooler lines...

Could even be the residue from a puddle or some one dripping oil when re filling the oil..
