Oil Change ( Pennzoil Premuim Synthetic 5w20)

Rear Differential Fluid Change ( Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube LS 75W-140 )

Transfer case fluid change ( Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF)

Install K&N Air intake :)

Fuel Filter Change.

Moog Front Sway bar end links



Any other suggestions? Coolant was done last month when radiator was replaced. Truck has 80000km (50k Miles). Bought her used might as well start with some new fluids. Would have loved to install my Magnaflow exshaust, but still waiting on my cat converter from ford. ;(
 
Just curious, why are you changing your sway bar end links? I have 44k miles on mine and wonder if I need to look at my links.
 
they are making noise when going over bumps, man hole covers lol. Rubber bushings seems to be pretty warn out. Figured they are cheap enough and seems like an easy job. So will get it done before cold Canadian winter sets in and it gets worst and i am forced to pay shop to do it. :) :)
 
Wayne: I assume you are talking about friction modifier which would only be needed on a limited slip diff, and if I remember right Mobil 1 meets the specs to not require it, but it wouldn't hurt to add it anyways.
 
yes that is correct friction modifier I am planing to change the oil myself as well thanks for the info good luck. What are you using to get the oil out ? and in .
 
actually couldn't find Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube LS 75W-140 anywhere in town. So gonna use Amsoil Synthetic severe gear 75w140 instead. I thought we didn't need friction modifier in non limited slip differential.

I don't know anything about the Gen2s so I'm not sure if you need friction modifier, I doubt it if it isn't LS, but wasn't a LS an option in Gen2s?
 
Well menu didn't get completed had to many other things to do also, had to meet a few ppl to sell my civic, which got sold so that is good. Did rear differential today. OMG the fluid that was in there was nasty. Smelly and really black nasty stuff.
 
Well finally got everything done. Ended up doing the Front differential myself as well. Got a hand pump and sucked it dry and then refilled. Stuff in front differential wasn't as bad as rear but still black and stinky, not as stinky as rear though.... Transfer case fluid actually looked not so bad. Well only old oil fluid left in truck now is power stearing, transmission and brake. Radiator fluid was changed about a month and a half ago when radiator was replaced.



Next, Monday ford finally installs my new cats ( P0430 error). After almost 2 months of waiting for part cause it was backordered. Then i can finally install my magnaflow catback. Good thing about dealer changing cat is that he they will deal with rusty bolts, will make installing catback easy for me :). After all this gonna save a few bucks to order a Throttle body for truck from Zabtech also.
