On the Road Again

I haven't even moved out of the hotel yet, and I'm already being sent to Italy for a week of training at the end of this month, then in March I spend four weeks in England. This could be a busy year...

I leave my computer room once, just to get a Mountain Dew whilst browsing MYST & Nelson leaves for Italy. Happy trails, and send pics!

Will do. I fly through Rome, so maybe I can work a night there on my way back. I'm not sure what part of England I will be in yet. At least both trips are only one hour difference in time. I am still battling jet lag from last week's trip.

O ya sure, a weeks paid vacation in Italy, and then a month of paid vacation in England. lol Training is so much fun too. I hope it all goes well and you actually do have some time to do some things around there. Also hope that you get to settle in somewhere soon after that._Ron

True Roger. I need to mail them from there too, since the APO here sucks. Some packages are taking MONTHS to arrive. I haven't received a single piece of mail, and I forwarded my mail beginning the week of Christmas.



I'm told the England trip won't ba a vacation, as we'll be working 12 - 16 hour days and on weekends. I may not have a chance to buy gifts there. Oh well, it's an adventure, not a job, right? Oh wait! I'm not in the Navy.

Robyn mailed me a package on June 30th, the day I deployed to South America. We were in port several times. Came back to Fl for 2 weeks. Left again to go to Europe for six weeks. Was inport twice during this. Came back to FL for thanksgiving, finally got the package.

Darn tootin' Fly Boy! If you were in the Navy, 16 hour workdays would be the NORM. Heck, we get underway just so we can work 'em around the clock and not feel guitly about it

Yeah, cruzrtwdgt. Dad was a Navy SEAL and he was the one that talked me into the Air Force. He said it was not the branch for a family man (I was married when I joined).

Here in Poland, PETA would be having a fit. I never saw so many dead animal skins being worn. I guess whatever it takes to keep warm...
