well i got some time to work on my truck. while the girls where sleeping. on my brithday. i replace the erg regulator. was trying to replace the pvc vavle and the egr vavle. and when trying to take the pipe off the side of the egr vavle. i broke a adjustable wrench and a pair of vice grips. what is a easy way to get the pipe off the side of he erg vavle?

thanks.

Idealy a tubing wrench. Most folks dont have one that big. My largest is 5/8ths.

Also after the penentrating oil. Try using 2 shop hammers. One on oposite side that you tap the cast iron. It can break the corrosion free. Just be careful not to break the plastic intake.

Do not use a pipe wrench. It will crush the fitting.

Use neversieze on the threads, when installing it. I wish the factory did on exhaust related parts.

i used pentrating oil. and that is when i broke my two wrenches. i am paying my buddy 20.00 to do both the pvc and the erg.

and i still have to buy two replcement wrenches.

thanks

DPFE sensor. You dont need to replace it unless you get a code, linking to it. The motorcraft replacements. Seem to last longer.
