Open recall or not?

I recently input my VIN into the ford recall database and it popped up with the cruise control recall...It stated that it was an open recall and I should make an appointment to see my ford dealer. I went out and looked under the hood to verify if I have the faulty harness and the harness does not look like the recalled harness on this forum. What gives? Should I take it in or not worry about it?

I made an appointment for tomorrow...the service department told me not to unplug it and they will deal with it tomorrow.

If the top of the switch is wet UNPLUG IT regardless of what the service dept said.



It's not their truck/house/life they're risking.

Crap, I am glad you all brought this up. I took mine in when this recal first hit, they didn't have the parts, so disconnected it. I haven't used cruise in so long, but went out to check, yup, cruise is disconnected.



Time to go finish the work!

Is it the switch on the top or the side of the master cylinder?

for around $20 u can get the part and do it urself ford dealer was giving me alot of BS so i bought the kit and did it my self w the help of a friend. better be safe than sorry
