I'm in the need of new business cards. Here are my choices. Which one flows and/or works better. I like them both, Rose likes the yellow number. I tried changing the full CLK name to yellow, but that made it look really out of place...

The Yellow "Pops" out a lot more to me. Maybe try the Carolina Lock & Key part in yellow as well.

LaRue,

I like the yellow on the phone number as well (Rose has good tastes)

I think it would look good if both phone numbers were in yellow...might be worth looking at.

Having said that, you probably already know that it typically cost more for each color they print, unless you are going to make them yourself on a color printer...but that would probably cost more in ink.

Richard,,, this company out of Cali prints full color CHEAP! 2500 cards, full color BOTH sides, UV coated and high gloss finish....... 79 bucks................. GREAT QUALITY!!! Have been using them for 6 years now.... On making the cell number yellow,,, it's starting to grow on me. Didn't like it at first.

I agree, the yellow on both numbers makes it pop and is more attention getting without being too gaudy.

It's great that you are getting such a good rate on multi-colored business cards..$79 for 2500 full color on both sides is really a bargain....I don't know if I could even buy the blank cards for that price around here..

Yep, I like the last rendering best. The yellow on both phone numbers seems to make the card more noticable and tends to balance out the left side of the card where the CLK logo is.

I'll send you my bill for my consulting services....

LaRue,

Good point! I like the "Locksmith" in the larger letters also. It immediately identifies the type of business at first glance.

Very well done....Now leave it alone and get your cards made before you change your mind again! :smack:

I do like this last version. All the important information is right there and easily identifiable.

Do business cards make that big of a difference? I mean, your business is more about getting peoples @$$ out of a jam than anything else.

Tom

P.S. Send Rose our love.

Caymen,

I think LaRue (as most locksmiths) probably makes more money installing locks, etc for home owners or getting installation contracts on larger construction sites..Like new homes and appartments....Emergency lockouts is probably a smaller part of the business, but demand a higher charge.

I am amazed at the number of people who will break a window to get into their car or home rather than call a locksmith. The cost for repairs to the window is often more than calling a locksmith, but people will tell the insurance company that someone tried to break in....but their deductable is higher than the locksmith charge, and some of the dumber ones don't even have comprehensive coverage??:smack:

"carolina blue???? NOPE... "

from a former carolina resident, the carolina blue sky is awesome.

imo, nice colour for your biz cards

Gary,,,,,,,,,, :haveabeer:

Tom,, business cards are a BIG part of the Lock business, along with the yellow pages and word of mouth. So 79 bucks is well worth it. I put out cards all over the place and I see many customers with my cards. I have found one other good niche.... The net.. I have had a website for all 8 years and now with so many smart phones,,, yea!!! I'm getting calls left and right for lockouts. When searching for "locksmith Sumter SC" I am at the top of the list... Good for me....

Richard, about 40% of my business is lockouts. which in reality, keeps my head above water sometimes......... I may go a week/10 days with no lock work but do 2-5 lockouts a day. At 45 a pop,,, all is well.... In Dec of 2008... I did $3500 just in lockouts...... good month
