I have a 2001 300M Chrysler with about 55,000 miles. The orange stuff is good for 100,000 miles? I've had this car for 5 years and wonder if the coolant is good for 5 years/100,000 miles?

I don't really know, but dumping the fluid out and flushing the cooling system can only be a good thing. The coolant has lost a lot of anti corrosion and acid inhibitors. In addition there is a lot of "crap" circulating with the coolant. For the price of a gallon of antifreeze and a gallon of distilled water why not change it?

Glenn,

I know on GM it says under the hood the mileage change interval.... DO you have the owners manual???

I would dump the stuff and replace any way at 60K.....

Yep, I have the manual, and it stated to change the coolant at 100,000 miles and at the same time replace the water pump and timing belt! Gonna be a big bill!!
