OT - 2000 Mailbu power window problem

Hello-

I know this is way off topic but it is regarding my sons 2000 Malibu.

First the window would not go down, then it went down and wont go up.



It is easy enough to replace the switch ($90) (driver side), but it is possible it is something else.



How can I test it to see if it might be a short in the window motor or something else?

Is there normally a way to manually roll it up? , if I take the door apart.







any info or suggestions would be cool

It sounds more like a connection issue to me.



Check the plug at the motor and the switch itself. I am betting this is the issue.
