We got a Focus (used) a few months ago.. Great little car..



Ours is a ZX5 5 door Hatch back. Got a 2.3L and a lot of go. (very surprised by the performence)

I talked to the dealer yesterday and the car was brought in last night. It's been detailed today and I am going to pick it up tonight. I'll post pictures tomorrow.



I also think I figured out why the dealer was so willing to deal with me. I appears that the focus I am buying was actually delivered to the dealer at the end of last year. It appears that is has been on the lot for a while. As a result I am going to scrutinize the heck out of it prior to taking delivery. Any suggestions from anyone?

You should still have the full warranty from date of customer delivery.

The first thing I can think of for a car that has been setting on the lot

for a while is to check the condition of the paint very carefully. Chips,

scratches, dings, etc...

Also, check to make sure it has been parked far from the body shop; we were going to buy a honda pilot a while back, but it was coated in overspray.

Gas in the US is cheap, even in California. I paid $78 to fill my Mazda3 last week in Prague to get back home to Poland. In an ST that fillup would have been over $150. :blink:
