OT: Pictures uploading and viewing ??

My daughter and wife are using a place on the web that store pics for free, you know upload for family and such to see. Well I have over 10 gig (each) of storage available on 2 of my websites and I want to use that istead of these free places. (why not, I'm paying for the space)



QUESTION: what would I need to make this happen? What type of software? Any one have an idea? Did I explain it enough?

Need to learn about file transfer protocol. Wise-FTP is free and seems to work pretty well. Once you set it up you can upload the files and place links on your site. Depending on your host, you might have some subdomains that you can set up. Should be able to download a PDF manual for the program as well. Hope this helps.

Do you websites have server-side capability, LaRue, either written as ASP or CGI?



If you aren't sure what I am asking, then probably not. I ask, because depending on what the answer is, you might want to use an Upload control (one that places a browse button on your website page). That's more "friendly" to me than uploading via FTP as Casey recommends, unless he meant something else.

Casey,, ftp is good but then I would have to download the stuff, make a gallery and reload it. Not what I am llooking for. Something all web-based (kinda) Where q-public (with permissions) can do their own uploads.



Tom,, yes I have that capability. The link takes you a program that sounds like what I'm looking for. Butt 100 bucks is not what I had in mind.
