Well, we got the 2000 Explorer. Price for the tranny rebuild will be $1,400.00 with a 36 month/36,000 mile warranty.

I reset the CEL and so for it has not come back.

Here are some photo's.

We are getting new tires when we get back from Vegas. It runs great and drives nice. Nice upgrade from Theresa's Pontiac Grand Am GT.

Look like a real nice vehicle, especially from the snow belt.

Inlaws have one like that, they really enjoy it, although Granny only drives it a couple of times a week now to take the great grandson to school. Hopefully, after the tranny job, you wont have anymore problems.

Looks like a clean one. My sister has a '99. She loves it, plans on driving it for along time yet. Hers has been trouble free. Thermostat, brakes and grneral maintenance..good luck with yours..

That is the same exact color as my '00 was. Mine had just turned 100K when I traded it for the Trac. Many times, I wish I hadn't made the change...I think the '00 Explorer was a much better vehicle in many ways. I never had any problems with it and was even running the original brakes when I traded it. Good luck with it.

How many miles on her, Caymen?

Just over 136,000. TLC, but nothing I can't do myself. The tranny is the only biggie and it isn't shifting bad, it just has the minor 2-3 flare, but I will get that taken care on after the first of the year.

Time to find some step bars and I think I am going to lift the rear end a little to balance it up a little.
