KL in the parens I was talking about my old lifestyle and attitudes. Back when, I didn't get enough exercise, and when I got some, I hated it. Not now. Now I live for the runner's high.

I've been cooking pork chops on the grill, very low heat, one turn per side, and pulling them off when still moist. The key is to let them set for a few minutes after cooking. I suspect if I cut into them the moment I pulled them off, the wife would say they "are not done!"

I hate dry pork chops.

Thankfully only 21 more days and I am off this diet thing! Then I get back to eating real food with a reset metabolism!

I have already started making the list of where to eat once off, The Keg, Olive Garden, Popeyes, Cheescake Factory and Mongolian Grill!

And once I get to grilling again, going to try cooking up the chops that way. The wife wants those cooked so that there is absolutely no pink, she took a food safety course when she worked for the school district. Scared her more than anything. Now she freaks when she hears my steak moo when I cut into it! Ahhhh, Tender Juicyness!

Keep going TJR, I went from 235 to my weigh this morning of 208. Keep going, great to hear the loss!

Jerry A,

We ate at the Olive Garden on Sunday (my daughter likes it, oh well). Ate 1/2 the Eggplant parm meal, brought the rest home. When it came to our table I cut the portion down the middle before even starting to eat.

The whole notion that I am "dieting" and that when I lose enough I will be able to "go back to real food" isn't the way I am looking at things. I'm still eating everything I ate before; nothing is off limits. I still go to the same restaurants. For me, this is the way I am supposed to eat and live. It is a lifestyle, not a diet.

The only thing I cut out was large portions, second helpings, and more often than before have replaced some of the fatty stuff with fruits and veggies. For example, I love "Taco Mac" when in Atlanta, and I get 6 of their lemon pepper wings and steamed brocolli as a side. That is my meal instead of 10 wings with french fries. It's the difference between a 750 calorie meal and a 1500 calorie meal. Even at 750 calories that's a hefty meal and it means a salad for one of the other meals that day.

I've learned to enjoy taste, not gluttony. I get the same taste from an Angus Deluxe Snack Wrap as I do a full Angus Deluxe sandwich at McDonalds. But one is almost 1/3 the calories of the other.

Also, I am running/jogging about 25 miles a week, and lifting weights.
