Quick question my friends.......Anyone know what the easiest way to adjust my parking brake? I have a 2004 Sport Trac, just did the rear brakes a couple of months back and failed to look into adjusting them. Do I need to pull the wheels of to get access to the adjuster? Thanks for the information.

Tire removal not necessary. Release the parking brake and remove the rubber adjuster covers. Use a stubby flat blade screwdriver and turn star adjuster

until the shoes are tight against the drum. Loosen the adjuster 6-8 clicks, or just enough where the shoes aren't touching the drum. Repeat other side.

Stupid Gen2 requires removal of rotor........ :banghead::banghead::banghead::eek:fftopic:

Spray penetrant on adjusters first. Sides "may" be opposite rotation. Lightly engage the parking brake and turn until you feel resistance. Release brake and adjust.
