Parking lot question. What would you do?

I would "spill" my soda all over their door and handle.. remind them when they touch the sticky, dried-up soda that they dinged my truck. Mmmm... yes... how does it feel to have nice sticky SODA all over your hands... oopsss, did I just make you spend time looking for a napkin... what? a napkins wasn't enough...

...then they have to drive home with sticky hands.

Hey, if you're not smart enough to move your car after you hit someone elses (besides leaving a note), then a "little reminder" will be waiting for you... OH DARN :)

But seriously, I wouldn't do a thing...

Anyone see that clip from "Malcolm in the Middle" where his mom is in the parking lot of a store and she battles it out with a woman about a door ding... it's funny.

I like bpoche's approach but a cup of coffee thrown through the offenders open window all over their dash and seats does the trick too as in my incident.;)

It was sad to see on Mythbusters that the old 'sugar in the gas tank' thing really doesn't do anything..........

When Chevy Chase parked the Metallic Peat Wagon Queen Family Trucksters far away in the first Vacation movie, so they could be the first ones out when the park closed, no one parked near it. But then again, "Sorry folks, parks closed, moose out front should have told you so."

bath tub caulk in the gas tank is good as is a quater down the side fron nose to tail,of coarse a good kick to the side (with good shoes of coarse):D:D is also suitable!!!

Ok, said I've been there, done that and I have...

Back in 1978 or 1979, bought my first new car...new to me, anyways.

Went into a K-Mart store in Taylor, MI. Just as I was getting out of my car, a brand new

and I mean Brand New Lincoln Continental pulled up next to me in the parking space

on my passenger side. Appeared to be father, mother and two kids exiting all four doors.

Father and the son, on the side of my car SLAMMED both doors into the side of (my)

new to me car. I walked over to him and asked him WTF?, or whatever it was you

said in those days .His response?... Get over it kid, these things happen!

Well, I let them get out of sight, and into the store, all the time, thinking of revenge.

Sure enough, it hit me! That heavy, steel shopping cart sure would look pretty (to

me, anyways) planted right in the middle of that long, pretty Lincoln hood!!!

Long story short, I waited in the back of the parking lot for what seemed like an eternity, just to see the look on Mr. Moneybags face when he came out of the store and saw

that shopping cart as a new hood ornament!!!

End result... PRICELESS (Again!).

One other option, depending on whose parking lot you were in--

Many places now have security cameras covering all of their parking lots. So if you check with the store, you may have videotaped evidence of the damage being done. This would definitely qualify as "proof" to insurance companies, police, etc.

And it's also something to keep in mind if you're seriously considering retaliation--you may be caught on tape.

Fred--Was the other car parked "over the lines" of the adjacent parking space? I'm not sure if that matters at all to insurance or police in such a situation--but if you had photographic evidence of the other driver being parked outside his/her designated space, I would think that would be worth taking...
