PIAA 520 SMR Driving lights

I just received my PIAA 520 SMR driving lights to put on my safari bar. I want to have the PIAA lights come on manually when the low beams are on. So for those who have installed them, the red/white wire provided by PIAA has to connect to the hot on the ST. Does anyone off hand know the color of the hot? The only project is PIAA 40. Similar but older style.



Also should I have got the locks for these lights?

Simply--yes. I got the locks for my 510 SMRs. I figure that for $20, it's worth the little extra bit of security.



As for the wiring, I can't help much there. It's been a year and change since I installed them, and I forget.

Yeah if you can get locks, get them. I had someone try to rip of my back-up camera from my ST.....not sure what good it would have done them but they still did it.

But gets locks if you can.. or pean the end of the bolts after you put the nuts on..



but then they wont come off if you need them to.

Cool--i didn't know it was legal to drill through the plate. (or that no one would care if it was illegal)

Dont know if it is "Legal". Just know.. unless you know.. you cant tell..
