Yes, my key was in the center console. It is a smaller key and is not the same as the ignition key.

I am a Ford Dealer. There are two keys: a Pats key for the doors and ignition, and a second smaller(nonpats) key for the tonneau cover. Ford screwed up and was forgetting to send the 2nd keys to dealers at the onset. We were having to have them made by locksmiths for us on the first few we had. Ford sends the dealer the 2 different keys and they should in turn pass them onto you at delivery.



You need to ask the dealer to provide you with the key, or he should have one made for you!
