Actually I heard on NPR the other day that the U.S. has offered Cuba financial assistance for the hurricane damage which they accepted (it's the first time ever that Cuba has accepted U.S. financial assistance since Castro took over). But before the U.S. will cut an aid check they are sending a small team of Fema people to evaluate the damage in order to determine how big an aid check should be given.

fema most likely went to Cuba before the storm to be prepared they need to take care of those Cubans who do you think they are using to do all their work

Why in the hell would we offer cuba disaster aid when we have soooo many Americans that need that aid a helluva lot worse. Politicians are idiots. I just heard on a talk radio show weds. night that some of the evacuees from hurricanes Rita and Katrina are being evicted from the apartments and hotels because the gov't isn't paying the rent yet. Pitiful, absolutely pitiful.:angry:

They are being evicted because they are deadbeats that refuse to work. Of course most of them have never worked a day in their life anyway.

I'm cuban by default. I'm the first american born in my family, and when asked I state i'm american. Not cuban-american, or american-cuban just American.



Visitied cuba in 1980. Don't, DON'T really care to do that again. As a tourist, it's probably not a bad trip, but the place was miserable back then and you can bet it hasn't gotten any better. I/we (my family) got what was left of our family out of there and rest assured, none have any desire to return.



Rodger, my above statement should ease your mind a bit. How's Georgia doing?
