Pioneer 6 disc output

Did a search but didn't find any related posts...No info in the manual and don't want to remove it from the dash just yet.



Does anyone know what the RMS watts output is on the 2005 6 disc Pioneer OEM HU?



I recently installed some Infinity speakers in all doors and although they sound much better than the OEM ones, there just isn't enough power fron the HU to drive them to high volume. Trying to decide if I want to amp them or install another aftermarket HU. If the HU output is only 5-10 watts, I'll probably just get another HU running ~50w. If it is above 20w already I'll go the amp way.

After more reading, I see the 04+ Adrenalin has a 510W system. Wondering if the amp is in the HU itself or seperate? Either way, does someone here have one for sale?

I believe its like 15 RMS but I could be wrong. It ain't very powerful I can tell ya that.



You can get pretty cheap HU (If money is an opition) that will put out 45-60w.

The 6-disc Audiophile system output is 290 watts through seven speakers. I've always figured that was a peak rating, because it looks better in print.

Thanks for the replies... I thought that the OEM 6 disc was prolly less than 20W RMS. But even though, the adrenalin states 510 W (prolly total max) Can anyone tell me if the Adrenelin HU has the amp or if it is seperate?

Again...If somone has a complete Ad unit for sale, let me know
