Hey everyone- I just bought a 6 disk pioneer from Ebay and the guy didn't have the shipping bracket so I had him fill the changer with blanks like someone recommended here and when I installed it the disks won't eject and it gives a "CD error". Anyone know if there's a reset button or is it just junk now?

And does anyone have one near CHICAGO that I could pick up instead of shipping they want to get rid of. :(

For some reason this radio HATES to be shipped w/o the bracket.

I did the same thing. Tore it all apart. Put it back together and it still did not work properly.

Went to Ford and they installed a brand new unit as my Trac was still within coverage. I now have the shipping bracket. I have let other members use it when they made deals with others....

That has happened to me 2 or 3 times before with my factory installed 6-disc changer. I had regular CD-R's in there and I pressed eject and the CD wouldn't come out. I pressed eject a few more times and it finally spit it out.

The last time it happened I accidentally turned the player off in the middle of ejecting a CD. I turned it back on and tried ejecting it a few more times and nothing. Then after running in somewhere to grab something to eat, I started my truck it and came right out without pushing a button.

I had suggested to others for units that were installed and then acted up to pull both the fuses. Let it sit for a few minutes. Put the fuses back in. In most cases the radio comes back to life.

There is one fuse for continuous, (memory) power and one for operating power. The key is to pull them both.
