I was driving through Miramar, FL today and saw this. Decided to get a few pics.

What kind of a retarded police department would buy an ST for use as a cop car? WTF, are they planning on entering it into police vehicle shows, or are they planning to catch criminals? I wonder what's next? Will they lower it and add duals?

Jeez, just buy your STs and use them as trucks. That's what I say!

TJR = Q?

I think that a ST is a great police vehicle. lots of storage, rear seating, modable to get a higher performance vehicle.

the only question is...

did they have to buy factory cross bars for the lights? I hope they had to pay full price!!

Yes, playing the part of Q today is TJR.

Q, just poking fun. If you can't step back and see that my comments (which were tongue in cheek) pretty much were identical to yours, well than I guess we just can't laugh at ourselves.

I think the ST would be a great police vehicle, actually. Due to it's versatility.

Cool! They can throw the bad guys in the back like Walker, Texas Ranger does! :D

ST police cars will last only as long as the police depatment will repair the torn uniform shirts from thos STUPID TIE DOWNS!! Ive wrecked two shirts already.

Up here in the Utah mountains, all of the Police vehicles are SUVs and trucks.

A bunch of regular Explorers, F150s, F250s, Tahoes.......no STs though.....

I use those tie-downs all the time!

I wrecked one shirt. I bet you are walking past the ST while parked in your garage, with a tight squeeze to get by....and with a short-sleeved shirt on, right?

TJR

The EMS department that I'm the Assistant Chief of will know tomorrow night if we get a new 4x4 ST for use as a paramedic response vehicle. I've used mine many, many times to respond crew and supplies to EMS calls.

I notice on the bed, it says youth services...probably sponsering and carrying equipment for city sponsered ball clubs...JMO..

Department of Natural Resources here has one as well. I have to drive about 6 hours to get some photos of it but come fishing season, I will tracking it down. I have seen it at court duties several times but had no camera with me. It looks great and the members love it. Of course its not intended to chase anybody.
