Take that Police Trac, put an Addco 1 1/2" front bar on it, an EE rear bar, lower it with Edelbrock shocks made to be lowered. That thing would handle like a Police Intercepter Crown Vic.

My brother has a 1999 Explorer with an Addco front bar and an EE rear bar. The handling is awesome. It is really impressive.

You have to be around 5'8" to snag your shirts on the tie downs. I've caught mine a few times, but never ripped one. I did give up wearing carpenter pants thought. The loop for the hammer would catch the seat release as I got out of the truck.

I think the truck looks nice. The kids probably think the truck looks cool. A lot cooler than a Crown Vic. :)

I am 6' 6", it usually happens when I am reaching into the bed, I wear a button up shirt a lot, and the tie downs get caught in the front openings between the buttons. the last one got the hulk hogan treatment after I ripped two button holes wide open.

I love the tiedowns too, but the design is a little off for the location.

and two days ago the almost got the pocket on a down vest!

I'm an even 6' and I tore a couple of shirts before I got Erik's replacements. The original tie-downs looked great but were a pain in the ass. And since the interior of the bed has tie downs, they were pretty useless to me. Wonder if the police department bought this ST or "took possession" of it. Did it have the police interceptor package like mine?

If you look at the rear window of the Miramar ST, you can see that it says "Miramar High School". I'm guessing that it's a School Resource Officer, and the vehicle isn't used for regular patrols.

The EMS department that I'm the Assistant Chief of will know tomorrow night if we get a new 4x4 ST for use as a paramedic response vehicle. I've used mine many, many times to respond crew and supplies to EMS calls.
