So what kind of future mods are you planning?

Here's my list of things to do when I get back:

PowerTrax rearend

DC-DC Car PC power supply

X-Spec 3in Lowering kit (needs alignment)

ATS running boards not painted

Random TechnologyY-Pipe and Cat

SCT X-Calibrator 2 with 2 tunes

Mystichrome GT-500 rocker stripes

Color CCTV pinhole camera (reversed)

(And that's not including the big stuff I'd like to do, but probably won't like an engine rebuild, supercharger, and nitrous)

Lots of money, and lots of time....I won't be "done" until I've parted with about $5000 more dollars...something tells me putting $10,000 in parts on a $20,000 trucks isn't sane....

The Ranger....The Ranchero was a $400 purchase, and in the end will probably have $1500-2000 sunk into it...maybe more depending on where the paint is done. It'll look like a lot more money then that, but you'd be surprised how many of those greenbacks stay in the wallet when you do all the work yourself. The only things my father and I won't be doing is the paint...the wheel tubs were also fabricated for us, but other then that, we've done, and will do, all the work ourselves.

I'm doing plenty of mods during the next three months--just not to the Trac...

--950 square yards of sod

--10 cubic yards of river rock

--2 cubic yards of mulch

--6 trees

--12 bushes

--2 retaining walls built out of 24" boulders

--1 lawn sprinkler system

--1 marriage license

--2 rings on our left hands

--1 big wedding reception

--1 empty wallet (biggest mod of them all for me)

Tom,

Not to be a smarta$$, but how can you say that Rusty's prices seem high if you can't find any cheaper prices elswhere? That very statement seems illogical because you've not found any prices cheaper than his in order to be able to state that his prices seem high.

Here's what I'd suggest: Take the part numbers for these items, plug them into Froogle, and see what kind of prices you find. Then, check them out at your local dealers. Lastly, consider Rusty's reputation for outstanding customer service and the fact that he is a sponsor of this site (which helps keep it free for all of us). After considering all of these factors, then go for what you feel is the best deal for your money.

Personally, I haven't found anybody that can beat Rusty when it comes to OEM parts.:D

I have a short wish list for my ST

1. random tech y pipe

2. jba headers

3. all new tint mine is turning purple

4. a full set of katskinz seat covers leather and the front low back seats

5. fiberglass fenders to clear the 33's

6. explorer express supercharger one that wont blow up the motor....

Andy H, I wasn't trying to be a smartass either. I understood how it sounded when I said it. I should have put a smiley on that I guess.

I haven't price searched much, so the fact that I haven't found a lower price YET hasn't deterred me from possibly finding one. And, some sellers sell for much lower prices on eBay now and then, but I do understand you have to be careful as you might get knock-off accs.

I guess that it isn't so much that the prices seem high compared to the competition, its that the prices seem high for what you are getting. A $50 piece of plastic in the case of the rear window deflector. But, hey, that's my father talking mostly. (Dad, get outta my head).

I just have to get off the dime to spend my dime.

Y-Pipe
