anyone know how to flush radiator coolant? whats the difference between yellow and green coolant besides from their color, because in the manual indicates use only green coolant if i'm not mistaken. tnx!

Use what color is on the truck, Certain colors are interchangeable, most are not....

The coolants are a different chemical compound and react with different metals in different ways....

There is a project on changing the thermostat but it covers the draining and filling of the coolant, But to flush it you need a machine or some type of setup to get 100% of it out....

There are kits available at most auto parts stores to flush and back flush your cooling system. They consist of a few adaptors that you can hook your garden hose to. Once hooked up you can run it till the water runs clean and clear and you know you got all the antifreeze out.

If you follow the instructions and drain as much out as possible via the petcock or removing the lower radiator hose you will not get much spillage (environmental hazard) and any that does spill will be heavily diluted with water.

Actually there are three types of coolant...Green, Yellow, and Orange. As Todd said, used the color that is already in your Trac or go to a universal extended coolants that meet all the OEM specs.
